Hi and Welcome to
Create a new way for the arts and film community to connect and stay on top of new and ongoing projects, both locally and nationally.
TheDailyCollective includes photographers, filmmakers, producers, set designers, fashion designers, makeup artists, models, actors, artists, graphic designers, sound specialists, extras and others associated directly or indirectly with emerging and established art and film projects.
Anyone organizing a project can use TheDailyCollective to find the best people for the job.
Anyone with a creative specialty can join the Collective and get connected with new projects.
Best of all, TheDailyCollective is free.
First, project organizers submit a request using this form. Each project submitted is carefully screened to make sure they are legitimate, have a credible track record and meet our special guidelines, the Collective Code. Once verified, projects are sent to the Collective's subscribers as a simple, plain-text email.
Twice daily (morning and evening), Monday through Friday, members receive a plain text email from me (marc [at] thedailycollective [dot] org) with a list of 15-35 projects. Anytime you see a project that you're a good fit for, go after it!
The project organizer's email address will be included with each request so that you can respond to projects directly.
Projects needing help ASAP will be posted to our twitter page [@dailycollective] and our facebook fan page. I update these pages regularly throughout the day.
To eliminate the exhausting search process and to take the guesswork out of finding legitimate projects and new people to collaborate with. If you're interested in the longer story or want to know who is involved in TheDailyCollective, you can check it out here.
TheDailyCollective is completely free. My costs for running this are minimal, and if we can help connect arts and film projects with amazing and talented individuals through this service, that alone is worth it to me.
By using TheDailyCollective, we do ask you to follow a few simple rules to keep everything running smoothly. Please familiarize yourself with the Collective Code. Everyone using this service must promise to respect these guidelines when submitting and responding to projects.
Because this is a service that depends on collective trust and cooperation, anyone breaking the Collective Code will be warned first and removed if it happens again.
**note: Please use sound judgment and discretion when connecting with either a project organizer or member and when deciding who to work with. While I do screen projects and remove any members violating our terms of service, our user-base is growing rapidly and I simply cannot vouch for the credibility of every individual using the service.
I will never SPAM you, allow BS projects onto the list or do anything with your email other than send you a new list of great projects as they arrive in my inbox.
That's it -- no other rules, requirements or costs.
Collectively,
Marc Samson
*TheDailyCollective is brand new community with enormous potential. We need your help to expand the network and perfect our service. Please help us by sharing your thoughts and suggestions. You can reach me directly by emailing: info [at] thedailycollective [dot] org
*If you are organizing a project, use this form to send us the details and we'll include it on the next list.
Since we've just launched, I can't guarantee the exact number of emails we'll be sending out to the Collective. Once we have a regular stream of projects coming in, we'll be able to send out emails 2x daily, Monday through Friday.
But we need your help to make it work! Because this is a free service without major financial backing, our ability to start generating projects and sources for you depends enormously on our ability to grow via word-of-mouth.
We are a viral, grassroots community with amazing potential, working together toward a common goal. Please help us help you -- Tell a friend, follow us on twitter or become a fan on facebook.
Collectively,
Marc Jude Samson
